Did you know all air-con systems leak a little bit of gas? Rubber hoses are slightly porous (tiny holes in them) and the gas slowly escapes over time. Up to 10% every year, which is why most systems need re-gassing every 5 years or so. Every system we do we pressure test the system with nitrogen and test for leaks, if none are found then we just simply re-gas, if leaks are found need to be repaired first. We have all the gear to repair any leak at a fraction of the price of replacement.

Due to the increase in price over the last few years in refrigerant gasses because of the emission trading scheme (about 400%) in refrigerant gasses the price of re-gassing has gone up a lot, which is why we do our best to find the leaks before refilling. We have kept out prices very competitive and most cars are around $295+gst. This includes pressure testing the system and adding dye so we can track down any “hard to find” leaks.
